Three of the boys, ready to find a tree | The past few years, we have rented a tree for Christmas, in the form of a potted sapling around four feet tall (not counting the pot) | But those trees have been somewhat unsatisfying, both in terms of aesthetics and the very short time they can be in the house (ten days max) | So we returned to a previous tradition, visiting the tree farm in Issaquah to cut a larger tree | Here, Innaias tastes some of the drizzle | Or maybe he’s just showing off his tongue | With the help of the kids, especially Guinness, we find just the right tree |
Pete explains the basics to Flynn and Guinness | Apparently most people don’t even bring a saw…we were asked if we’d like for our saw to be returned to the office ☺ | Of course, part of the task involves just getting access to the base of the trunk | That part should be much easier for Flynn ☺ | Guinness and Innaias make sure we’re following all the instructions | Flynn tries his hand at sawing | Debra’s turn |
